Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026.

This policy describes how WrenchEasy handles personal information on wrencheasy.com and app.wrencheasy.com. WrenchEasy is being developed for independent auto repair shops.

WrenchEasy is an experimental software service operated by Benjamin F. McNeill. For support, privacy questions, or account deletion, contact ben@wrencheasy.com.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we store your name, email address, account identifier, and sign-in information. If you use Google sign-in, Google supplies your profile identifier, name, email address, email verification status, and profile picture if available. We also store the authentication information needed to connect your Google account to WrenchEasy. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or your contacts.

The invoice builder lets you enter shop details, customer names and contact details, vehicle information, line items, prices, tax rates, and notes. Before you save, a draft is kept in your browser’s local storage so it can survive signing in or reloading the page. Anyone with access to that browser profile may be able to access the draft. Starting a new invoice replaces the current local draft; signing out clears it. Clearing site data in your browser also removes it.

When you sign in and save an invoice, we store it in your account in Cloudflare D1. We use it to let you reopen the invoice and generate a PDF. We do not send invoices to your customers or process payments. You are responsible for sharing the PDF and for having permission to enter your customers’ information.

Our hosting and authentication systems process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, request logs, and session identifiers to deliver and protect the service. If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message.

How we use information

We use account information to identify you, let you sign in, operate your account, provide support, communicate about your account or the service, and prevent abuse. Signing in is not a subscription to marketing emails.

Waitlist registration is not open yet, and we do not currently collect waitlist submissions. When subscriptions become available, you will be able to choose whether to receive product updates and unsubscribe from those updates.

Service providers and sharing

Cloudflare hosts the website and app and stores account data through its D1 database service. Google processes sign-in requests under its own privacy policy. These providers process information needed to perform their services. Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to address fraud or security issues, or to protect people's rights. If the business changes ownership, information may transfer with the service subject to this policy and applicable notice requirements.

Cookies and account security

We use authentication cookies and similar session information to keep you signed in and protect the sign-in process. The site does not currently run advertising or optional analytics trackers. We use HTTPS and access controls to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and your choices

We retain account information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. To request access, correction, or deletion, email ben@wrencheasy.com from the address associated with your account. We may ask for information to verify the request before changing or deleting records. Account deletion includes associated sign-in sessions and linked Google account records. We may retain information needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or investigate abuse; copies in backups may remain until those backups expire.

You can remove WrenchEasy's Google access in your Google Account settings. Revoking that access does not automatically delete your WrenchEasy account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights concerning your personal information.

Children

WrenchEasy is a business service for adults. It is not directed to children under 18.
